Re-design of a seat for a long haul flights
WHAT´S THE CHALLENGE?
The purpose of this project is to analyse the main aspects of the design of an airplane´s interior and to propose a redesign to improve the travel experience for passengers, increasing their sensation of comfort
The light, the noise and the colours of the environment affect the way we feel in a place. All those aspects must be taken into account to redesign an space.
Each person is different so their needs are also different, that is why all of them must be known.
Gathering users to talk talk about their own experiences,I could discover how they use their time in a flight, the problems they find and the good details they apreciated in different trips.
Knowing the requierements, the project focused in the redesign of the seat for economy class.
AIR is an ergonomic seat that makes the passenger feel relax and willing to start the flight since the first moment
The pocket in the back side is risen to let free space in the botton part for the legs. when the tray is saved it acts like a protector of the objects that are in the pocket.
Air improves the personal space of every passenger considering each one has specific caracteristics
